Tracking the 2024-25 Mountain West Conference non-conference schedules.
Conference Play Outlook: A 20-game conference-play schedule will be implemented in the Mountain West for the first time. Each institution will play ten home games and make ten road trips during the Conference season to create a true double round-robin scheduling model. This format allows for no more than 11 non-conference games.
The model created more restrictions to non-conference play. Notably, the long tradition of a home-and-home series between New Mexico and New Mexico State during the same season has been cut in half. Whoever gets the annual football game must go on the road for hoops, otherwise, it would create a financial windfall every other year for the host school. Lobos will host this season in Basketball (as seen below).
The League Play Schedule will be announced near the end of the Summer.
