ACC
ACC Non-Conference schedules for the 2024-25 season.
Conference Play Outlook - Cal, Stanford, and SMU join the ACC this coming year. The conference is moving to a 20-game league schedule for the 2024-2025 season. California and Stanford have been informed they will make four total road trips to satisfy all conference-play road games (10 road games each) to help reduce travel costs and create as much efficiency as logistically possible.
The 20-game schedule features:
· Two games (home and away) versus each of the school’s two current partners (Cal/SMU/Stanford will be partners with each other).
· One repeat opponent (home and away).
· The remaining 14 conference games consist of seven home-only opponents and seven away-only opponents.
Pairings
Future: There are several discussions about potential defections and expansion to the ACC. A league to continue monitoring throughout the next calendar year.
SEC/ACC Challenge
The second annual SEC/ACC Challenges will take place over back-to-back days. The challenge games will be Tuesday, Dec. 3, and Wednesday, Dec. 4. The first year of the ACC/SEC Challenge in 2023 featured 14 games and finished in a 7-7 tie. The Challenge will expand to 16 games this season with the expansion of both conferences starting this summer ahead of the 2024-25 athletic year.
