The American
AAC Non-Conference schedules for the 2026-27 season.
Conference Play Outlook:
Each team in the American will play 18 conference games, including six of its 12 league opponents twice, home and away, and the other six once, three at home and three on the road.
The complete 2026-27 men’s basketball composite schedule, including dates and times, will be announced at a later date. Conference play will begin on Tuesday, December 30, 2026, and will run through Sunday, March 7, 2027.

The American Conference Tournament Location Change:
Beginning this season, the 2027 American Men’s Basketball Championship will move to the Yuengling Center in Tampa, FL. The South Florida Bulls will have a slight uptick in tournament chances due to the change. Back for another season is the tournament format that was rolled out in 2026. The bracket features the top 10 teams in a five-day bracket format. The No. 1 and No. 2 seeds will advance directly to the semifinals, while the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds will maintain byes to the quarterfinals. The No. 5 and No. 6 seeds will receive byes to the second round. The 2027 AAC Tournament will run Wednesday through Sunday, March 10-14.
