League Schedule
Conference Play Outlook: The Big West’s 2025-26 men's basketball conference schedule will feature a 20-game double-round robin format culminating in the 2026 Big West Men's Basketball Championship, presented by Credit Union 1. The league is coming off its strongest season since 2006, per the Pomeroy conference strength measurements. The Big West finished 12th in the country out of 31 leagues, showcasing quality depth and arguably the strongest duo at the top out of any one-bid league, UC San Diego and UC Irvine.
The 2026 Big West Men's Basketball Championship, presented by Credit Union 1 is scheduled for March 11-14 at Lee's Family Forum in Henderson, Nev., and will be the third year in a row with an eight-team double-bye bracket.
In 2025, the final week of Big West play produced heavy drama. Hawai’i needed a win in Bakersfield or Northridge during the final week and ultimately fell twice, leaving the door open for CSUB and Cal Poly to qualify for the conference tournament. It was the first-ever conference tournament miss for the Rainbow Warriors, and it opened the door for Cal Poly’s magic carpet ride to the Big West Semifinals. Another race for the top eight will keep the league from top to bottom an outstanding one.
